Meet Dr. Nichole Anderson, DDS, AFAAID, D.ABDSM
Dentist Colorado Springs

Dr. Anderson served as a dental hygienist for 14 years before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency at Denver Health Medical Center—a level one trauma center and safety net hospital—where she received advanced training in medical and dental emergencies, facial and dental trauma, pediatrics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and operating room dentistry.
Dr. Anderson has completed an AAID Implant MaxiCourse and is an Associate Fellow to the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AFAAID). To qualify for Associate Fellowship, Dr. Anderson completed at least 300 hours of post-doctoral instruction in implant dentistry, performed implant cases, and passed the Academy’s Associate Fellow examination. This examination, which is conducted by an expert panel of implant dentists, included a written exam and an oral exam. The examination process measured Dr. Anderson’s clinical proficiency in surgical and prosthetic dental implant techniques, in-depth knowledge of dental implants, and commitment to excellence in implant dental practice and to the AAID’s standards for ethics and patient welfare.
Dr. Anderson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dentists who are Diplomates of the ABDSM have demonstrated that they have the skills and knowledge essential for the delivery of excellent patient care to treat sleep-related breathing and TMJ disorders. The ABDSM believes higher standards for dental sleep medicine translate into better care for patients and greater accountability. The ABDSM credential is widely recognized as the gold standard for excellence in dental sleep medicine.
As a restorative dentist with specialized education in several areas, her comprehensive approach focuses on regenerative procedures when possible, and ensures each patient receives a personalized treatment plan tailored to their unique needs. She offers oral sedation and treats patients with special needs under general anesthesia in a hospital setting.
Dr. Anderson holds a Certificate in Women in Leadership from Cornell University and a Certificate in Epigenetics from the University of Melbourne. She lectures nationally on topics including the etiology and treatment of myofunctional and airway disorders. She is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, and the International Affiliation of Tongue-Tie Professionals. Additionally, she teaches myofunctional therapy for patients with airway dysfunction and oral habits, and provides CE courses for dental professionals.
